Cable /Replacement Kit

If you have a GATKU Dyneema SlipTip, buy this kit, it comes with what you need to swap out Dyneema cord with 300lb coated stainless steel cable. Intended for those who already own our SlipTip, kit does not come with SlipTip shaft.

Kit includes, directions, brazed 24” cable, 2-double barrel crimps, 1” length of needed heat shrink and 2-rubber o-rings.

Spearos often purchase a few of these to have extra cables available when out on the hunt.

Run new cable through (your existing GATKU Gen2 SlipTip) counterbore side of SlipTip and pull tight so that the button fits flush, slide heat shrink tubing (b), then double barrel crimp (a) on cable (Diagram 1). Insert cable through the hole on red aluminum adapter of SlipTip (Diagram 2), then back through the other hole of crimp (Diagram 3). Collapse crimp w/double barrel crimp tool, see Good and Bad crimps. Slide heat shrink over crimp, use a flame to shrink; do not melt it, or the cable.
